Telleroo Introduces Business Savings Accounts and Streamlined Payments

Telleroo enhances its platform for businesses with new savings accounts and inbound payment features, making cash management easier.

Telleroo, a UK-based payments platform designed to cater to accountants and their clients, is making strides in simplifying financial management. On November 3, 2026, the company announced the launch of its new business savings accounts, allowing users to easily set aside funds while earning interest.

New Savings Accounts for Enhanced Cash Management

The newly launched savings accounts feature offers businesses a straightforward method for accumulating interest on their idle cash. The accounts currently offer a competitive interest rate of 3.34% AER (variable), which includes a promotional rate of 1.34% AER available until March 31, 2027. After this date, the rate will adjust to 2.00% AER (variable).

Many businesses often retain substantial cash balances for duties such as tax payments to HMRC or upcoming payroll. With Telleroo's savings accounts, provided by Griffin, these companies can now convert surplus funds into earning assets without having to manage multiple accounts. This integration allows users to maintain visibility and control while leveraging their existing payment workflows.

Streamlined Inbound Payments

In addition to savings accounts, Telleroo has also unveiled a new feature facilitating inbound payments directly to users' Telleroo accounts. Businesses can incorporate their unique Telleroo sort code and account number into invoices or link their accounts with platforms like Stripe, Shopify, and GoCardless, which ensures an automatic flow of incoming payments.

This new setup means that businesses can swiftly transfer incoming funds into their savings accounts, thus starting to earn interest immediately. The combination of these features will enable businesses to manage their finances more effectively, reducing the complexity of managing multiple financial platforms.

A Shift in Financial Workflow

These recent enhancements are part of a broader strategy by Telleroo to provide a more integrated approach to financial management. By allowing businesses to oversee their incoming funds, outgoing payments, and savings in one secure platform, Telleroo is not only simplifying operations but also painting a clearer picture of cash flow.

Andrew Cookson, the CEO of Telleroo, expressed the significance of these changes, stating,

"We've spent years helping accountants and businesses take the complexity out of making payments, but the opportunity has always been bigger than that. Businesses shouldn't have to choose between keeping money accessible for payroll, suppliers, and HMRC, and making that money work harder in the meantime."

Cookson emphasized that the launch of inbound payments, savings accounts, and the company’s own EMI license represents an important step in integrating financial workflows. This shift aims to add value for accountants and their clients, enhancing cash management without increasing complexity.

With these new developments, Telleroo positions itself as a comprehensive solution for financial management, further aligning with the needs of businesses and accountants who are looking for better ways to simplify their processes.
