Moomoo Enhances US Funding Options with Apple Pay and Google Pay
Moomoo introduces 24/7 account funding for US investors via Apple Pay and Google Pay, streamlining the investment process.
Moomoo's New Funding Feature
Moomoo is excited to announce that eligible users in the United States can now fund their trading accounts around the clock using Apple Pay and Google Pay. This innovative feature departs from traditional banking hours, providing greater flexibility and convenience for investors.
Developed in collaboration with Visa and Checkout.com, this real-time funding option allows users to transfer money to their Moomoo accounts whenever they choose, day or night.
Seamless Transactions
The new feature simplifies the account funding process significantly. Users can select either Apple Pay or Google Pay as their payment method directly within the Moomoo app, utilizing a debit card stored in their digital wallet. This streamlined approach minimizes the necessary steps involved in transferring funds.
Thanks to the robust payment infrastructure provided by Visa and Checkout.com, transactions are processed instantly, ensuring that users have quick access to their funds for investment purposes.
Funding Limits and Accessibility
According to Moomoo, deposits are currently free of charge, with users able to fund their accounts up to a combined limit of $10,000 per day and $50,000 per month using both Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets. For most users, deposits are credited instantly, although occasionally, bank processing may delay funds for a few hours.
This new funding option is available for US residents who possess a valid Social Security Number and utilize debit cards issued in the United States.
Neil McDonald, CEO of Moomoo US, stated, "Investors expect the same speed and execution in their investing experience that they access through other market-leading digital products. Expanding our funding capabilities through Visa and Checkout.com makes it easier for users to quickly move money into their Moomoo accounts when they are ready to invest."
Transforming Digital Trading
Jakub Petri, Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships at Visa, noted the increasing demand for real-time account funding solutions within digital trading platforms. He emphasized that this new feature not only enhances user experience but also leverages Visa's global payment network for a secure and convenient transaction process.
Moomoo has also expanded its trading capabilities in recent months, supporting 24/5 trading for eligible US stocks and ETFs. Recent features introduced to the platform include Web3 wallet integration and predictive trading through a partnership with Kalshi, showcasing Moomoo's commitment to evolving its services.
Future Expansion
While the announcement focuses on the US market, Moomoo's Singapore subsidiary, Moomoo Financial Singapore, continues to explore additional funding options. They recently collaborated with Wise to offer lower-cost transfer alternatives for users seeking to fund their trading accounts.
As the online trading landscape continues to evolve, Moomoo remains dedicated to providing innovative solutions to cater to the needs of modern investors.
