Highway Infrastructure Secures ₹198 Crore Project for CISF Battalion

Major Contract Awarded

Highway Infrastructure Ltd has announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance valued at ₹198.31 crore from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). This contract focuses on developing both residential and non-residential infrastructure for the Central Industrial Security Force’s 12th Reserve Battalion located in Madhya Pradesh.

Project Details

The initiative will revolve around the planning, design, and construction phase of the battalion's facilities. The development site is situated in Village Jamunia Talab within Sehore district. The project will be carried out under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Mode-I framework and is scheduled to take two years for completion.

Domestic Award and Transparency

Highway Infrastructure confirmed that this contract was awarded by a domestic entity, and importantly, neither the company's promoters nor their group have any stake in the awarding body. This ensures that the contract is free from related-party transactions, maintaining transparency in dealings.

Recent Contracts and Financial Updates

This new order follows a recently secured contract worth ₹340.08 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for managing the Palayam fee plaza in Tamil Nadu. That engagement stipulates a one-year tenure, during which a user fee collection agency will be appointed through competitive e-tendering.

The contract also includes responsibilities for maintaining nearby facilities such as toilet blocks, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies. The Letter of Acceptance for this agreement was issued by NHAI on October 23, 2026.

Highway Infrastructure has reiterated that the contract was awarded by a domestic firm, and again, there are no conflicts of interest. The company's stock performance also reflects a positive trend, with shares closing at ₹72.00, an increase of ₹2.26 or 3.24% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
