TRON Posts $2.21 Trillion in Stablecoin Settlements for Q3 2026

In the third quarter of 2026, TRON processed an impressive $2.21 trillion in stablecoin settlements, marking a notable increase from the previous quarter.

TRON has reported a remarkable achievement in the third quarter of 2026, processing a total of $2.21 trillion in stablecoin settlements. This figure represents a 5.1% increase compared to the previous quarter, showcasing the network's growing influence in the cryptocurrency space.

Transaction Volume and Activity

During the months of July through September, TRON recorded approximately 1.07 billion successful transactions. This translates to an average of about 11.68 million transactions each day. Leading entities in transaction activity included Binance and OKX, although detailed figures separating payment transactions from exchange-related ones were not provided.

Quarterly Growth and Stablecoin Supply

According to TRON DAO’s quarterly analysis, the settlement for Q3 was reported at $2.2126 trillion, up from $2.106 trillion in Q2. This translates to a gain of approximately $106.6 billion, consistent with the overall growth rate of 5.1%. On a daily basis, the average settlement increased to $24.05 billion, rising from $23.14 billion in the previous quarter.

At the close of the quarter, the combined supply of USDT and USDD on TRON reached a substantial $93.88 billion. There was a slight discrepancy in transaction counts between different reports, with TRON DAO indicating roughly 1.10 billion transactions, in contrast to Nansen's 1.0748 billion.

Exchange Rankings and Transaction Insights

Nansen's report highlighted Binance as the most active exchange with approximately 39.7 million transactions, followed by OKX with 36.1 million and Bybit at 9.9 million. Importantly, the report noted that these transaction counts are not reflective of the dollar value transferred or the specific percentages of merchant payments versus remittances.

The lack of data separating different types of transactions was further emphasized. Visa's Onchain Analytics provides a contrasting approach by distinguishing between total and adjusted stablecoin activity, aiming to eliminate inflated volumes caused by automated transfers. Their recently updated methodology expanded address labels significantly, suggesting a focus on accuracy in transaction assessments.

Network Fees and Token Insights

TRON DAO also disclosed that the network generated $701.4 million in fees for the third quarter. This represents a slight decrease of 4% in average daily fees, which fell to $7.62 million. In terms of token supply, TRON produced 360.2 million TRX tokens and burned 234.5 million, resulting in a net issuance of approximately 125.8 million TRX.

The issuance and transactions statistics are vital, as TRON users can acquire resources through staking, while tokens are burned when transaction fees exceed available resources. In the previous quarter, Messari reported around $699.4 million in fees and an issuance of about 87 million TRX tokens.

New Investment Opportunities for U.S. Investors

A notable recent development is the launch of Canary Capital’s staked TRX ETF, which debuted in the U.S. under the ticker TRXS on September 9, 2026. This investment vehicle aims to track the value of TRX while also incorporating staking rewards into its net asset value. The fund's design includes measures to engage in substantial staking of its holdings.

Potential investors should note that the ETF is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, which means it does not provide certain protections typically available to registered investment companies. As a result, shares may trade at a premium or discount relative to the underlying TRX assets.

This growing landscape of TRON and its robust transaction figures highlights the ongoing evolution within the stablecoin sector, positioning TRON as a formidable player in digital finance.
