STACK Infrastructure Invests $80,000 in Huntington High School Programs
A generous contribution from STACK Infrastructure enhances athletic and artistic programs at Huntington High School.
Empowering the Community
STACK Infrastructure has made a significant investment of $80,000 in Huntington High School, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local communities in Shreveport and Northwest Louisiana. The funding is designated for crucial enhancements in athletics, performing arts, and safety for students.
Support for Students
As stated by Ashley Busada, STACK Americas' Director of Community Engagement, "True investment means backing the people and organizations that fortify our communities." This initiative aims to provide students, especially at Huntington High School, with better opportunities both inside the classroom and beyond.
Serving just over 1,300 students from grades 9 to 12, Huntington High School will utilize this donation for its boys' and girls' basketball, football, and band programs. The funds will cover essential items such as equipment, apparel, and training resources that are vital for their development.
Impact of the Donation
Christopher Hill, the principal of Huntington High School, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating, "This generous contribution will allow us to upgrade the much-needed equipment for our programs. These activities help our students foster confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Knowing that the community supports them boosts their motivation." This investment not only empowers students but also enhances their connection and pride in being part of the Raider family.
Long-term Commitment to Northwest Louisiana
STACK's contribution is part of a larger strategy focused on responsible development and community engagement in Northwest Louisiana. The company is dedicated to creating lasting benefits that extend beyond its infrastructure operations. This includes investing in local education, workforce development, and community facilities that strengthen utility reliability and resilience.
Shreveport City Council member Ursla Bowman highlighted the importance of investments like this for local students, remarking, "Our students deserve the same resources and opportunities as anyone else. I am incredibly appreciative of STACK's commitment to investing in our youth and their futures."
Ceremony Details
The official presentation of the contribution will take place on October 15 during Huntington High School's Homecoming Pep Rally, where Principal Hill will receive the check from STACK representatives.
