Moonbirds plans to roll out its native BIRB token on Solana in early Q1 2026, Orange Cap Games CEO Spencer Gordon-Sand confirmed at Solana Breakpoint 2025. The token will be added as part of the project’s broader push to scale both digital and physical collectibles and to integrate Moonbirds IP into tabletop and trading card products.
Spencer said the company aims to grow into a major consumer-products and gaming player in web3, noting ambitious revenue goals as it builds partnerships and product lines. Orange Cap Games acquired the Moonbirds intellectual property in May, bringing the collection into the studio’s roadmap of consumer goods and games.
Now in its second year, Orange Cap Games expects roughly $8 million in revenue for the current year and is projecting about $20 million next year based on existing distributor commitments. The studio has already seen traction with Vibes, a Pudgy Penguins trading card game that generated roughly $6 million in revenue over the past 12 months.
The Moonbirds IP will be incorporated into the Vibes trading card line next year, Spencer said, expanding the game’s roster and collectible offerings. To support physical distribution, Orange Cap has secured partnerships with established collectors’ distributors including GTS and Star City Games. The company has also formed relationships with grading authorities CGC and PSA to support the physical collectibles business.
The BIRB token and these expanded partnerships reflect Orange Cap’s strategy of blending on-chain NFTs with offline consumer products and traditional collectibles channels. The move positions Moonbirds to reach collectors who participate in both digital ecosystems and conventional hobbyist markets.
