DGrid AI’s native token, DGAI, nearly doubled in its first day of trading following the rollout of the project’s decentralized AI inference network.
According to CoinGecko data, DGAI traded around $0.73, up roughly 93% over the prior 24 hours, with a market capitalization near $110 million and trading volume above $165 million.
The token launch coincides with DGrid expanding its decentralized inference network, which routes AI requests to distributed nodes that perform model inference. DGAI is used across the ecosystem for payments, staking and node rewards.
DGrid’s litepaper describes a “Proof of Quality” mechanism to assess node outputs. Node operators stake DGAI to participate, earn rewards for providing computing resources and face penalties if performance is poor or rules are broken.
The project also told Cointelegraph it sold more than 140 DClaw Boxes in a few hours at 1,580 USDT each—more than 221,000 USDT in sales. DClaw Boxes are physical devices intended to run DGrid’s DClaw personal AI agent and connect users to AI models through the network of independently operated nodes rather than a single centralized service.
