Kroll Settlement Administration, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice, is notifying potential victims of the OneCoin cryptocurrency fraud about a petition-for-remission process to seek compensation.
What this is: Between 2014 and 2019, Ruja Ignatova, Karl Sebastian Greenwood, and others operated an international scam that marketed and sold fraudulent OneCoin tokens. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York prosecuted related criminal cases and pursued forfeiture of fraud proceeds. Net proceeds from forfeited assets will be used to compensate investors through a remission process.
Who may be eligible: Individuals who purchased OneCoin between 2014 and 2019 and suffered a net monetary loss after accounting for any withdrawals or recoveries may qualify to file a petition. Submitting a petition does not guarantee payment. There are no fees to file or participate, and you do not need an attorney to submit a petition.
How to participate: Submit a completed Petition Form by June 30, 2026, that documents and verifies the monetary losses you claim. Include supporting documentation for all claimed losses. Petitions may be submitted online or by mail at the addresses below. If you choose not to participate, you do not need to file a petition, but you will not be considered for compensation.
