WASHINGTON, May 13, 2026 — RCB Fund Services LLC (RCB), the Claims Administrator for the AirBit Victim Fund (AVF) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), announced that petition submissions are now open for victims of the AirBit Club fraud.
Overview
The AVF was created by the DOJ to compensate individuals who suffered direct financial losses because of the fraudulent AirBit Club scheme. The scheme allegedly induced people to buy AirBit Club memberships based on false promises, including purported guaranteed daily returns from cryptocurrency mining and trading.
Who is eligible
To receive compensation, a petitioner must qualify as a “victim” — meaning they suffered a direct pecuniary loss as a result of the AirBit scheme. Persons who did not incur an actual financial loss (for example, those who only transferred funds on behalf of others) are not eligible for compensation.
How losses are calculated
Eligible losses are determined using a cash-in, cash-out methodology. Petitioners must document the total money and/or virtual currency used to purchase AirBit Club memberships (cash-in). That total will be reduced by any funds or virtual currency the petitioner withdrew from AirBit Club (cash-out). Reported or paper profits that were not actually paid out are not considered eligible losses.
