Strategy raised $333.7 million last week by selling common shares but made no Bitcoin purchases, leaving its crypto holdings unchanged at 840,447 BTC.
According to an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company sold 3.46 million MSTR shares between Aug. 10 and Aug. 16 through its at‑the‑market offering program. Proceeds from those sales were allocated across dividends, share repurchases and the company’s U.S. dollar reserve.
The company used $52.4 million to cover its twice‑monthly dividend payments on STRC preferred stock and spent $132.2 million to repurchase about 1.39 million STRC shares during the same period. No repurchases of other preferred securities or MSTR common shares were reported.
Another $149.1 million was added to Strategy’s U.S. dollar reserve, which stood at $4.80 billion as of Sunday. That figure includes expected proceeds from stock sales that had not yet settled. Strategy says the cash reserve is intended to support preferred‑stock dividends and interest payments on outstanding debt.
Market data showed STRC trading slightly lower in premarket activity, quoted at $94.67 (down 0.12%) after a Friday close of $94.78 (down 1.03%), per Yahoo Finance.
The company reported no Bitcoin purchases or sales during the reporting period. Its 840,447 BTC were acquired for a total of $63.36 billion, including fees and expenses, at an average cost of $75,385 per coin.
